Identical in configuration to standard 1849 Pocket Revolver. London-made models have a higher quality finish and their own serial number range, 1-11000. Manufactured from 1853 through 1857. Feature a roll-engraved cylinder scene. Barrels are stamped "Address Col. Colt/London". First 265 revolvers, known as early models, have brass grip frames and small round trigger guards. They are quite rare and worth approximately 50 percent more than standard model that has a steel grip frame and large oval trigger guard. Found cased more often than most models.Original casing with accessories may double value in lower conditions and up to quadruple value in excellent condition.
