Columbus Revolver

A .36-caliber double-action percussion revolver, with 6-shot unfluted cylinder and 7.5" octagonal barrel. Similar in appearance to 1851 Colt Navy. Pistol is browned steel, with brass grip straps and walnut grips. Barrel marked "Columbus Fire Arms Manuf. Co/Columbus Ga.". Manufactured 100 in 1863 and 1864. As with most Confederate arms, fakes are encountered. Expert authentication is highly recommended. Extremely rare, values are speculative.
