Leech & Rigdon Revolver

Confederate revolver patterned after 1851 Colt Navy. Chambered for .36-caliber percussion. Has 6-shot unfluted cylinder. The 7.5" barrel is part-octagonal and has a loading lever beneath it. Frame is open-topped; finish blued, with brass grip straps and walnut one-piece grips. Barrel marked "Leech & Rigdon CSA." Approximately 1,500 revolvers manufactured in 1863 and 1864. All contracted for/by Confederacy and considered to be prime acquisition for collectors. Beware of fakes! Premium for very rare early "Novelty Works" barrel marking.
