Chambered for .50-caliber only. Does not have tape primer system or tang sight. There is no patchbox. Buttplate is not as curved as on 1st Model. Marked "Manufactured By/Mass. Arms Co./Chicopee Falls". Approximately 20,000 manufactured between 1860 and 1865. Used by Union forces during Civil War.
