.31-caliber percussion spur trigger revolver, with 4" or 4.25" octagonal barrel and 6-shot cylinder. Frame brass. Grips walnut. Believed approximately 100 manufactured during 1860 and 1861. Variations include birdshead butt or square-butt, short frame or long frame, and humped frame. These can have an impact on value. May be found unmarked or with trade names.
