Model 50

Company's third attempt to produce a satisfactory self-loading repeating shotgun. Winchester went to the short recoil system, utilizing a floating chamber design. This model begins with serial number 1000. Successful model and built between 1954 and 1961. About 200,000 sold. NOTE: Add 10 percent for 20-gauge; 20 percent for ventilated rib on Standard Grade.

Available in several different styles:
1. Standard Grade: 12-, 20-gauge; plain or ventilated rib; lengths from 26" to 30"; plain walnut checkered pistol-grip stock and fore-end.
2. Skeet Grade: 12-, 20-gauge; 26" ventilated rib barrel; walnut checkered pistol-grip stock and fore-end.
3. Trap Grade: 12-gauge; 30" ventilated rib barrel; walnut checkered Monte Carlo stock and fore-end.
4. Pigeon Grade: 12-, 20-gauge; barrel lengths to customers' specifications; fancy walnut checkered stock and fore-end; made on special orders only.
5. Featherweight: lighter version of all the above, except Trap Grade.
